ADMISSION PROCEDURE FOR PROGRAMMES OFFERED BY Dr.KVSRIT:

 B.Tech Programmes (Four Year Courses):

Of the sanctioned intake in a branch of engineering, 70% of the seats are called Category – A seats or Convener seats. The remaining 30% seats are called Category – B seats or Management Quota Seats.

Admissions for Category – A seats are conducted by the Convener, EAMCET Admissions through web counseling based on the EAMCET rank of the candidates and the rules of reservation for admission into professional colleges in Andhra Pradesh.

B- Category seats are filled by the Management of the college following the guidelines stipulated by APSCHE, Hyderabad.

 B.Tech Programmes (Three Year Programmes for Diploma Holders):

Of the sanctioned intake in a branch of engineering 20% seats as supernumerary seats are allotted to Diploma Holders for admission into II Year B.Tech directly. Admissions into II Year B.Tech through lateral entry for Diploma Holders are conducted by The Convener, ECET (FDH) Admissions through web counseling based on the rank obtained by the candidates in ECET (FDH) and the rules of reservations.

There are no B – Category (Management Quota) Seats for lateral entry into II Year B.Tech.

M.Tech Programmes (Two year course):

Of the sanctioned intake in a specialization, 70% seats are called A – Category Seats or Convener Quota Seats. The remaining 30% seats are called B – Category Seats or Management Quota Seats.

Admissions for A – Category Seats are conducted by the Convener, PGECET Admissions through web counseling based on the rank obtained by the candidates in GATE/PGECET and the rules of reservations. The admissions are also based on course wise eligibility rules of JNTUA, Anantapur.

Admission to B – Category Seats are done by the college Management following the guidelines of Government of Andhra Pradesh (APSCHE). The B – Category admissions done by the college are subject to ratification by APSCHE and JNTUA, Anantapur.

MBA Programs:

Admission to MBA is based on the merit in ICET.

 

ADMISSION POLICY:

Admission Policy for UG Programme:

Admissions to the Institute are made along with the other Engineering colleges in the state through a common entrance test (EAMCET) conducted by the Govt. of Andhra Pradesh State.

The admission pattern to B. Tech is as follows: The minimum qualification for admission to the first year of the B. Tech course is a pass in the Intermediate (10 + 2) conducted by the board of Intermediate Education, Govt. of Andhra Pradesh State or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry as optional subjects.

      1. 70 % of the seats are allotted based on the merit in the EAMCET.
      2. 30 % of the seats are earmarked for Management/NRI candidates.
      3. In addition to the above, Diploma holders are admitted in the second year of B. Tech to the extent of 20% of intake based on the merit in the ECET, under lateral entry scheme.

 

Admission Policy for PG Programs:

PG Engineering & Technology Courses:

The eligibility criteria for admission to following courses of M.Tech is:

      1. M.Tech – Digital Electronics and Communication Systems: B.E/ B. Tech in ECE branch of Engineering with valid GATE score / based on the rank obtained in the Test conducted by JNTU
      2. M.Tech – Computer science engineering: B.E/ B. Tech in CSE / branch of Engineering with valid GATE score / based on the rank obtained in the Test conducted by JNTU.
      3. M.Tech – Power Electronics and Electric Drives: B.E/ B. Tech in EEE branch of Engineering with valid GATE score / based on the rank obtained in the Test conducted by JNTU.
      4. M.Tech – Embedded Systems: B.E/ B. Tech in ECE / EEE / CSE / IT / EIE branch of Engineering with valid GATE score / based on the rank obtained in the Test conducted by JNTU.
      5. M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering Branch of Engineering with valid based on the rank obtained in the Test conducted by JNTU.
      6. M.Tech – Structural Engineering: B.E/ B. Tech in Civil Branch of Engineering with valid GATE score / based on the rank obtained in the Test conducted by JNTU.

 

PG Management Courses:

The admission pattern to MBA courses are as follows: 

The minimum qualification for admission to the first year of the MBA is a pass in the undergraduate course (10 + 2 + 3).

Entrance exam for MBA is ICET.

 Document Retention Policy:

The Document Retention Policy is as per the guidelines of AICTE.

      2. Circular from AICTE
      3. The Original certificates of the students, who discontinue with their courses, will not be retained by the Institution in accordance with the guidelines of AICTE.

 

Reservation Policy:

Reservation rules are as per the norms of AP State Government and Central government of India.
