INTERNAL QUALITY ASSURANCE CELL

IQAC at Dr. KVSRIT was established in the year 2015, as per NAAC Guide lines the committee was constituted under the chairmanship of head of the institution. Since its inception IQAC has been pivotal in qualifying the quantities of academics and administrative work of this institution.

                Among all the committees that constitutes an education institution Internal Quality Assurance Cell can be regarded as the most prominent and noteworthy as it always aims at defining the standards of the tasks and also inspects and appraises the quality of the tasks accomplished within a stipulated timeframe. The IQAC should meet at least once in every quarter to review the quality matters.

IQAC – Vision

To ensure optimum quality of education offered here by standardizing and ascertaining the progress in every aspect.

IQAC – Mission

  • To channelize and systematize the efforts and measures of an institution towards academic excellence.
  • Acting as a nodal agency of the institution for coordinating quality-related activities, including adoption and dissemination of best practices.
  • To encourage departments to establish student Learning-centric environment to use ICT tools for teaching and learning process and to inculcate value–based education system.
  • To develop an Institutional data base and documentation of the various activities leading to quality improvement.
  • Arrangement for feedback response from students, parents and other stakeholders on quality-related institutional processes.
  • Documentation of the various programs/activities leading to quality improvement.
  • To encourage Departments to organize Seminars, Workshops, Orientation and Faculty Development Program.
  • To ensure an effective and transparent operations to achieve excellence in Academic, Administrative and Financial activities.
  • To encourage self-evaluation, accountability, autonomy and innovations.
  • Preparation of the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) as per guidelines and parameters of NAAC, to be submitted to NAAC.

Objectives:

  • To develop a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic action to improve the academic and administrative performance of the institution.
  • Emphasize faculty expertise to adopt the knowledge, technology and innovations for participatory teaching and learning process.
  • To promote measures for institutional functioning towards quality enhancement through internalization of quality culture and institutionalization of best practices.
  • Conduct periodic audits of academic, administrative and research activities for quality assessment.

Strategies:

  1. Ensuring timely, efficient and progressive performance of academic, administrative and financial tasks
  2. To implement relevant and quality academic/ research programs
  3.  To provide equitable access and affordability of academic programs for various sections of society
  4. Optimization and integration of modern methods of teaching and learning.
  5. To ensure credibility of assessment and evaluation procedures.
  6. Ensuring the adequacy, maintenance and proper allocation of support structure and services.
  7. Sharing of research findings and networking with other institutions in India as well as globally.

Functions:

  1. Development and application of quality benchmarks
  2. To set parameters for various academic and administrative activities of the institution.
  3. Facilitating the creation of a learner-centric environment conducive to quality education and faculty maturation to adopt the required knowledge and technology for participatory teaching and learning process;
  4. Collection and analysis of feedback from all stakeholders on quality-related institutional processes periodically.
  5.  Dissemination of information on various quality parameters to all stakeholders.
  6. Organization of inter and intra institutional workshops, seminars on quality related themes and promotion of quality circles.
  7.  Documentation of the various programs/activities leading to quality improvement.
  8. Acting as a nodal agency of the Institution for coordinating quality-related activities, including adoption and dissemination of best practices.
  9. Development and maintenance of institutional database through ECAP (Engineering College Automation Package) for the purpose of maintaining /enhancing the institutional quality
  10. Periodical conduct of Academic and Administrative Audit and its follow-up
  11. Preparation and submission of the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) as per guidelines and parameters of NAAC.

Role of the Coordinator:

The following are the roles and responsibilities carried by the coordinator of IQAC:

  • To coordinate the dissemination of information on various quality parameters of higher education
  • To coordinate the documentation of the various programs / activities leading to quality enhancement.
  • To coordinate the quality-related activities of the institution
  • To coordinate in preparation of the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) to be submitted to NAAC based on the quality parameters.
  • To coordinate the timely and efficient execution of the decisions of IQAC committee.

Activities of IQAC:

  • Preparing of the Annual Quality Assessment Report (AQAR) and submitting it to NAAC.
  • Participating in National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) and sending necessary after compiling those collected from the departments and sections.
  • Presenting before all stakeholders of the institute the area where the institute needs improvement following the release of NIRF ranking every year.
  • Collection of annual Performance Based Appraisal (PBAS)of faculties and Feedback on Curriculum from students
  • Preparing of National Board of Accreditation Report (NBA) and sending necessary after compiling those collected from the departments and sections.
  • Feedback of Students on curriculum is made online and the entire activity goes paperless.
