Internal Departmental Committee (IDC):
Step 1:This committee will be responsible for evaluating the timely progress of the projects and communicating the progress report to the students.
Step 2:At the end of second year third semester the Internal Departmental Committee should float the list of faculty clusters according to their specialized areas.
Step 3:The IDC has to prepare the list of the project batches and invite the interested areas from the batches.
Step 4:Allocation of project supervisors.
Step 5: In case it is observed by the IDC that any student is not performing well, this committee should take special care to improve their performance by means of counselling them.
Step 6: Like the academic calendar, a separate calendar for project evaluation will be given in advance by the Committee. The evaluation rubrics is to be circulated among the students.
Step 7: The IDC will be responsible for conducting training programs for all the faculty members of the department to make them aware of the new and emerging trends in research as well as in industry.
Step 8: Any problems pertaining to project allotment, project conduction, project group allotment etc will be resolved by this Internal Departmental Committee.
Step 9: The committee also ensures that the department is equipped with high quality library so that the students have an access to various good journals and reference books required for their project purpose.
Department Academic Committee
The Institute has constituted Department Academic Committees ME Department.
The Committee Consists of Head of the Department, senior faculty member in the Department and one expert from Industry.
The DAC gives guidelines related to following areas
1. Program Educational Objectives and Program Outcomes
2. Academic plans preparation by faculty members for their respective courses allotted by the Department
3. Thrust areas to conduct Co-Curricular activities
4. Topics beyond the syllabus and additional experiments to meet PEOs and POs
5. Functioning of Center of Excellence
6. Value added training courses
